I adopted Deliah. she began her journey with us august 2005 and spent four months under the bed. In November when she realized we wouldn't hurt her and gave her lots of food she began to sleep on the bed. Now she comes out of the room, plays with my other cat, tries to move me out of her favorite recliner when we are in it. She has been given two nicknames one is scrounge as she looks for all sorts of food even though hers is out all of the time. our pantry has a sliding door and i found her batting it and eventually got in. another nickname is sniffles as she has a nasally sound to her. She is a very sweet cat and is quiet when she meows but is definitely a great match to our home.
Yin's New Family
I read about Yin on the Kitty Corner website. As soon as I read her story and saw her picture – I knew she was meant to be my kitty companion. My cat, Tikki, had died in July and it wasn’t until 6 months later that I was ready for a new feline friend. I searched the web looking at the different cats in need of a home. Yin was the perfect fit! I decided that if she was still at the Kitty Corner after I moved in March that I would go meet her.

After I had moved in to my new apartment, I called the Kitty Corner to inquire about Yin. She was still there! I couldn ’t wait to meet her. The next day I bought a cat carrier and went over to see her. She was just darling – it was as if she knew that we were meant to be her family. My room mate and I were overjoyed!
After she came home, she hid under my bed for a few hours. When she came out she announced it, with some meowing, and I showed her where her food and her litter box were located. She seemed somewhat awkward at first as she had never before lived in a one cat family. She has adjusted and we have grown more and more fond of each other.

She has been to the vet twice since she has come to live with me. The first time she went for a check up and the second was to get a vaccine updated. So, she is happy and healthy!
We are so grateful to Kitty Corner for taking care of Yin while she stayed there!
